Week 64

This week was great. We had a P-day as a zone we had a BBQ and Nerf fights, so that was great. We also had interviews with president which was awesome. Other than that, not much happened.

One day, we walked over 20 km (it felt) to get to some people who ended up not being there ðŸ˜¤ but at least one is interested, so count your blessings, right😀?

We were able to teach 5 new people and they look promising, so we are excited to see how that goes and we are also excited to teach some new people who we found. One has already received the missionaries and went to church a lot in another ward, so now we just need to get in the freaking house to teach and baptize😑 but we are super excited. (Her name is Anjela; Please pray that we can teach her).

It is always great to see how your weeks are going and good to see that you are all happy.

I love you all and hope you have a great week!!!!

Sincerely,
Elder Jardine

Week 63

This week was great. Dara was baptized and confirmed, so that was great. We worked the rest of the week, but unfortunately, we weren't able to find new people to teach, but it was still a great week.

Last p-day when we were at home, we watched a movie called Charlie, which is an incredibly sweet church film that made me cry out of gratitude for the tender mercies that grandpa had in his last days of life. It was great and I was able to have a very spiritual experience with my companion (and yes, I wrote it all in my journal immediately after).

A few quick notes...transfers are on the 31st and I will probably be leaving, so I have no idea where or with who I will be for Christmas, so we will have to see (it also doesn't help that there is a transfer the 11th of December). I can't wait to get my package and see you all this Christmas!!!

I love you all sooooooo much and I hope that everything keeps going well this week for you. Be sure to send me pictures of everything especially Tucker being funny.

Sincerely,
Elder Jardine

P.S Happy Birthday, Grandmas!!!!! love you!!!!!!
P.S.S the dog is called xis (derived from xi-xi which is what he was doing) and he did exactly what tucker does in looking back to make sure we were still following him. ðŸ˜‚

Week 62

This week was good. We worked a lot and we had some success. I was able to do some more baptismal interviews which was fun. We were also able to work with a recently returned missionary which was awesome and we were able to learn a lot.

Today is a great day. We just got one of our investigators married and she will be baptized at 4 today. It will be Elder Taylor's first baptism, so we are super excited.

Thank you so much for the emails. I really saw how the Lord was able  to bless grandpa and the rest of us at the end of his life.

Keep me informed how things go and how your weeks progress.

Have a great week!!!!

Sincerely,
Elder Jardine

Week 61

My week was fine. I got better on Tuesday (Elder Jardine had a fever most of last week) so it was just a quick little thing. We weren't able to have the success we wanted this week, but we were able to find many great people who show promise, so we are excited for that.

I loved General Conference especially the talk of Elder Oaks (destroying those who think the church's stance on marriage should change) and Elder Holland (reminding us to be better). It was sad to hear about Elder Hales. He was truly a great man and we will miss him.

I received a call this morning at 7:15 informing me of grandpa's passing (Elder Jardine's paternal grandfather passed away October 1st.) but, all the same, your emails regarding the circumstances penetrate to my soul and for this I am grateful for God's plan for us.

This week to come, I will work as hard as I can to honor his name and will always remember him.

I love you all and pray that the Lord's hand will be in your lives continually.

Sincerely,
Elder Jardine

Week 60

Well, my week was interesting. So, technically, Elder Conceção and I were supposed to stay together, but Monday night at 10:20, we received a call saying that Elder Conceção would be going to another area and I would be staying (emergency transfer).

I am now a proud mother (I will be completing his training) to Elder Taylor from South Carolina. He is a great guy and we get along great. The reason for the week can be summed up by one word... WORK. We worked really hard this week, so hard that I currently have a fever.

This week will be interesting. We have zone conference and I now have an added pressure; the assistants challenged me to teach 7 new people this week to set the example for my district. I already have a plan in place, but if you could pray for our success, that would be great.

It is great to see how your week was and that the move was a success. I am so happy that all is well there and I hope that things just get better.

I love you all soooo much and I hope that you all have a great week and enjoy conference (I certainly will).

Sincerely,
Elder Jardine
