Week 31

Well, this week was pretty normal. Unfortunately, we cut all of the people we were teaching, but found a few new people, so that is good. Yesterday, I learned that I will be transferred tomorrow, so I will tell you where I am in my second area. My Portuguese is good, but still needs a little bit of work. I am great here and all ready to move to a new part of the mission. It is great to hear how things are going with you guys. I have a few things to say to each of you individually, so here it is:

Lauren- keep being awesome and remember that friends are good, but they aren't everything.

Hayden- that prompting was of the Spirit so do like we do on the first lesson (first date) baptism--invite (you understand what I am saying?).

Jessica/Brigham- keep having good lives. Send me the occasional picture and tell me when I will be an uncle.

Jaron- keep trying; the Lord will bless you for your mission and service.

Mom/Dad- love you and keep me updated on the house and Tucker.

Tucker- keep being a cute puppy.

So, that is my advice to you all. Love you all so much and I will definitely tell you how my new area is when I get there. Have a great week.

Love you.

Sincerely,

Elder Jardine

Anywhere Elder Jardine goes, he finds four-legged friends!
This little kitten was at the church. Latched onto Elder Jardine right off...

Week 30

This week was great. I was in campinas on Monday (to talk with President) and on Thursday (we had a mission tour). On Tuesday,Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, we did the normal things for work. We found a few people to teach, but not quite sure if they are investigators.
On Saturday, we did some service for a less active member-just hauling some dirt so they can do a few re-modifications to their house, which was good. On Thursday, like I said, we had a mission tour where we had one of the local seventies, Elder Fortunato and his wife. They spoke to us about a variety of things that really helped me and got me re-energized to work, so that was great.
But that was my week. This week will be my last week in Mogiguaçu for a while (I think/hope). Transfers are on the 28th, so I will tell you how that goes in two weeks.

Keep having great weeks and keep emailing me, especially pictures/videos; people love to see that kind of thing here. So do I, so anything really... Tucker being guilty, Lauren playing volleyball, Jaron and Hayden trying to fight to be the dominant male... anything really.

Have a great week and I will write you next Monday!

Love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!💞💕

Sincerely,
Elder Jardine

Week 29

This week was good. We did a lot of talking, but unfortunately, not a whole lot of teaching. But we will kill it this week, I promise.
We had a few interesting things happen this week. First of all, this past Saturday, we went and talked English with some kids at a local language school which was originally made by a member. (I am actually siting in one in Campinas emailing for free because I am a missionary. Missionary work has its perks aside from two pizzas for around three dollars.)
We (Elder Fischer and I) just talked about what we do a lot in our country and with our lives. They asked us some questions and one of the kids at the end of the session asked if he could give me a hug. So that pretty much made his day. It was awesome. Life here is going well and just to answer some of your questions:

No, I will not stay in this area one more transfer or I will go crazy.
I am darn near fluent in Portuguese; so is Elder Fischer.
We didn't find anyone new to teach this week, but we will keep working.
Elder A Santos is a great guy who likes to talk about DragonBall Z, Naruto and other stuff I like which is fun, but all around he is a hard worker and a good friend.

Sorry. Due to how this desktop is designed, I can't email photos, but I will next week.
Keep having great weeks and I will continue to pray for you all.

Sincerely,
Elder Jardine

Week 28

This week was good for us. We taught a lot of people and now have 8 new people to teach. One of our most promising is Iracinea. She is great. She really wants to know what church to follow and when we talked about a living prophet, her mind was blown. It was great to see her desire along with her daughter who lives in France. So, that is crazy and we are stoked about it.
The new schedule is working out great for us and we are getting a lot of work done. The weather here is starting to get colder and rainier and I am counting down the days until Daylight Savings time starts so I can get one more hour of sleep😴. But ya, all is great here.

It is always good to hear how your weeks are going and keep enjoying your weeks.

Love you all and I pray for you continually.

Sincerely
Elder Jardine

Week 27

This week was pretty normal. We walked a LOT and talked to a lot of people, but unfortunately, almost all of our commitments fell, so that was a bummer. But ,we will continue on and pray for the Spirit.

As far as Danilo goes, we have stopped visiting him. He lives far away and every time without fail we try to pass there, they are not there, so that is a bummer. But Erica is good. She explained that she has a small problem with her throat so that explains why she wasn't coming to church, but it's all good now.

I love Elder A Santos! He is a hard worker and we get along great. We have cut Rodrigo and Fabriela because they didn't come to church and they have stopped answering the phone and door. So, I get the message. But, all good!

It is great to see how your weeks are going and how the Lord is blessing you guys. Keep enjoying the snow and have fantastic weeks.

Love you all and I pray for you continually.

Sincerely,
Elder Jardine

Week 26

So, this week was interesting. We had transfers and my new companion is Elder A Santos and he is great. A few things I have learned about him: he is from Sedip, Brazil, he has 9 months in the mission, this is his third area and he is optimistic. He has the same Goku shirt as me which is awesome and somehow he knows more about Dragon BallZ than me 😵. He is amazing and hard working.

We are working hard here and are teaching a few people that have promise. Rodrigo and Fabriela are great people who are very welcoming. Fabriela is pregnant, so our focus is the family and first thing we are going to focus on is having them get married. But, they really are great people, although, their little 6 week old puppy has very sharp teeth and loves us. So, we are working and we are starting to get somewhere.

A few people to remember in your prayers. First, is Danilo. Pray that he will stop drinking and smoking and have a desire to return to the church. Also pray for Erica that she will also return and have courage to tell people to stop telling her all of the gossip in the ward and Irmão Luis that he will regain his testimony and tell us the real reason he has stopped coming to church.

It is good to see that everything is going well for you guys and I hope that you all have a great week.

Love and pray for you!

Sincerely,
Elder Jardine
