Week 45
This week was good; just a few things have been happening:

• I had interviews with President Hill which was fun.
• We marked a date for Robson (that is actually how you spell his name) for the 17th, but after that day, we haven't been able to get in contact with him. So that is weird; just remember him in your prayers.

Other than that, my week was pretty normal. Just the usual things-work, teaching, and stuff. It has been getting cold down here so I am starting to use my sweater more.

It is always great to hear how things are going at home. Keep me informed and send me pictures of Tucker and stuff.

Week 44

This week was great. We did pretty much the same old thing-going around, trying to get people to let us in to say a prayer. We had divisions with the zone leaders in their area. I was great, especially since we had a stroganoff pizza at night . 

We are also working on having a house and district shirt made, both of which I did the drawings for (the pictures are down below). Robson is doing great. He doesn't have any problems with the commandments. He gives us a ride even though he is unemployed and his gas is about empty. And he was at church before we were this Sunday. We got there at 8:35 . He just needs to associate the feelings he feels with the Spirit and an answer. Unfortunately, we weren't able to teach Emerson this week and he wasn't at church, but we will pass by there on Tuesday. We also had another surprise. This Sunday, one of our other investigators, Mateus, came to church so we will also be teaching him this week.

As for the daily life of a missionary, we wake up at 6:30 am, eat, exercise, and get ready for the day. We do personal gospel study from 8:30 to 9:30 am.  Then, we leave the house to go talk to everyone and clap on doors to see if people are interested in a prayer or a message. We usually eat lunch with a member and if we have appointments to teach other people, we go. During the day, we choose a time to do companionship study and language study. We generally have a 30 minute break at 5:30 to eat and rest and we work until we have to be home, which is 9:30 pm. So that is pretty much my average day.

It is good to hear how you guys are doing. As for Audrey's call, I am stoked!!!! Brazil is awesome!!!!!! (A friend Nathan went to school with in Eugene, Oregon whose family also moved to Utah was called to the Brazil Porto Alegre mission.)

Dominoes Two-fer Tuesday!

Week 43

This week was great. Last p-day, I was surprised to receive a gigantic birthday cake from an investigator of the other companionship. We still have it in our fridge even after letting 8 to 10 missionaries at it. We also had a great Nerf fight and as usual we ate pizza the next night (Dominoes has a two for one deal on Tuesday; we loooove it!!!) 

We were able to teach some new people this week. Their names are Emerson and Hobson. Emerson, after 28 years of smoking, quit on a dime (especially since he gave us his cigarettes, lighter, and the freaking ash tray too) and seems pretty good. Hobson is amazing. He is about 30 years old and is loving what we are teaching him. He is unemployed so has nothing but time. He is reading everything we are giving him and even has the Gordon B Hinckley manual. Hobson was also at church and went to every activity that he knew about at the church. This week, we have a goal to mark his date, so fingers crossed. 

I renewed my visa this week which was kind of a shocker seeing as how I almost have only 1 year and 2 months left It is scary!!! 

We also had zone conference the same day so my companion and I got to catch a ride with the president to our stake center, which was cool. I also played trash basketball with my two English classes this week, which was really fun. Other than that, it was just normal work this week.

It is great to hear about your weeks. As for the house concrete thing, I know a guy in Georgia who does that sort of thing, especially pools, so I could totally hook you up (since he is my companion's dad .) [We mentioned to Elder Jardine some difficulties in getting some projects in the backyard done along with the driveway in the new house.]

Week 42

This week was kind of an UGH week. I had the cold/flu (I don't know which; it felt like both) Tuesday and Wednesday, which was then accompanied by pouring rain for the next three days. We tried to work, but with little success.

We had someone come to church... a little puppy that decided to see what's up, but at night, we went and visited a contact that we had made on the street a few days earlier. He and his family (two of the oldest kids are already baptized btw) were really receptive, and, at the end, Emerson, the dad, basically repeated the whole lesson to his son and said that he knew it was true. He said that because Joseph saw God and Jesus, he was a true prophet. When his son started to say the things we don't do, like drink coffee, Emerson said, "so looks like I have to stop with the coffee." It was awesome.

But, that basically sums up my week. Earlier this morning, we had a Nerf fight in celebration of my birthday, so that was fun too.

It is always good to hear about your awesome weeks. Keep telling me how things are going.

Week 41
We got to talk with Elder Jardine for almost an hour on Mother's Day last weekend. It was SO great to see his smiling face!

I am so happy; this week was great. Here are some things that we did/had:

• We finally moved into our new apartment which is right in front of the church. So, that is exciting especially since we have been waiting for a whole freaking transfer to get there . But it is all good now. Some pictures are below.
• We had interviews with the president which is always fun (I say that non-sarcastically. I love the president; he is a truly inspired and uplifting man). I learned some things I need to work on so I will be improving.
• The Mother's Day Skype was great after which we had a very American meal of steak with mashed potatoes and gravy with some homemade apple pie. It was amazing!
• We learn about transfers today, so we will just have to wait and see about that.

So, that was my week. Keep telling me how things are going and keep being awesome.
